The notion of spending an evening with good group of friends for a fantastic time is global in its appeal and cannot be pinned to any culture. Our goal with Late Night was to provide the most complete, thrilling, and modern take on an afterhours scene than we’ve ever done before. 

We always look to the past for inspiration and find ways to evolve. The theme and feel of Nightlife was a bit suburban and lighthearted. It presented a set of late night activities for Sims stuck in suburbia and overly family-friendly entertainment such as the bowling alley. The silliness was quite evident in the coordinated group dance “smustle,” or the vampires who cavorted about town in an outfit similar to the one Sesame Street’s The Count would wear.

EA announced a new Sims game for both PC and MAC: The Sims Medieval.
That’s not a new expansion pack, but a stand alone game (like The Sims Life Stories) set around medieval theme. It will ship the next spring.
Despite of  the title, this game is a bit more different than the original one, with a lot of rpg and strategic gameplay.
Sims are customizable and can also have children.
We have to build a medieval reign, manage various characters (kings, queens, magicians, knights, merchants, bards, spies…), make armors, trade goods and complete missions.
The player can choose the ambition and the guideline of his reign, deciding for an imperialistic domain, to pay attention to population needs and so on…

It’s a new way to “live” The Sims, that will be appreciated both by habitual players and people that like games like World of Warcraft, Dragon Age and Anno.

The new city
In the trailer we can see a city that is pretty similar to New York, with skyscrapers, a big bridge and the sea. Sims will probably be able to live in apartments. The streets are rich in details, with  traffic lights, banners and lights that highlights the best places of the city, where our Sims can drink and dance for the whole night.
