Level 1: they receive the portfolio.
Level 3: they can propose their services to other Sims. With “Assess Architectural Design Needs” interaction there more chances to have the job proposal accepted by the client.
Level 5: they receive a meter to use while measuring clients’ house. It increases job valutation.
Level 7: they can decorate clients’ house with pictures, photos and sculptures created by themselves. It will give you a better bonus.
Level 8: they can discuss about the renovation with the clients and discover all their traits.

Architectural designers have a base paysleep for the week. They also get extras for every job done.
They can work from 8 to 18 and from Monday to Friday. They don’t have a working place.
They don’t really have to work from 8 to 18, the defined working hours just mean that they can receive new jobs during that time frame. By the way, starting from level 3, they can offer their jobs to other Sims also outside that frame.
Available jobs are indicated by special icons in map view.

They responsibilities are the followings: renovation, paiting and review.
So, they have to renovaye houses, improve painting skill and go a do job, so they’ll receive a positive review.

The Drafting Table by Scuzzmarr Industries is a must. It can help you to improve your architectural experience by doing architectural designer researches.

How this job works?
When you receive a job offer, a window shows up telling you the name of the client, what you have to do (restyling a teenager’s bedroom, build a swimming pool, renovate a bathroom, create a studio…), the available budget, the base fee and the requirements (a chair, a easel…).

At this point he architectural designer goes to client’ house, takes measurement (this option is available from level 5) and then decides to start the renovation.
Talking with the client is good to know his personality, so you can decorate the house considering that. When done with requirements list, we can tell the client that the job is done.
You don’t have to complete it in one day, you can stop and start the day after or when you want by clicking on the floor and selecting “Continue Renovation” option.
If the client is satisfied, progression bar increases. If you want you can take a picture and add it to your portolio.

A very good solution to family development
While playing with a family, all the sims of the city evolve together and sometimes it happens that they get a new job, have a baby or get married.
Sims cannot add a new room or beds by themselves in order to be consistent with the new family size. Before Ambitions we used to find households with 3 Sims and 2 beds only, teenagers with a toddler bedroom and so on…
Thanks to the new expansion pack, architectural designers can solve this issue and renovate other Sims’ houses.
